I setup my TP-Link as an access point with management IP of 192.x.x.254, with WAN disabled and option to use as a LAN port. The WAN is then connected to a switch. For some reason, web gui over WAN (used as lan) using wired or wireless connection is very very slow. I'm gonna try that old startup script to set eth0 to use vlan1 or similar, and report back.
